Esporta Fitness Staff Take Part In Bbc Test The Nation

Date: 27 Aug, 2004

Two members of the fitness team from the Esporta club in Gloucester will be appearing live on television as part of the new BBC programme 'Test the Nation - The Popular Music Test'.

Following on from the successful The National IQ Test 2004, Mel Rose and Alex Walker from Esporta Gloucester will be part of a group of personal trainers and will go head to head against a group of celebrities and five other occupations: dancers; civil servants; dentists; Elvis impersonators; and bar maids.

The programme will go live on BBC1 on Saturday 4 September and is presented by Anne Robinson and Phillip Schofield.

Mel Rose and Alex Walker comment: "We are now in training for the programme with members of the Esporta Gloucester fitness team constantly throwing music questions at us and trying to get us to name the music played in the gym in double quick time!"
