Esporta Rewards Fitness

Date: 20 July, 2005

An Esporta member from the Dorset club and a membership consultant at the Sunderland club have become the proud owners of brand new Mazda MX-5 sports cars.

Following Esporta's successful Fitness Challenge, marketing director, Scott Wallace presented Susan Vaughan, a member at the Dorset club, with her MX-5.  Susan won the car after successfully completing the Fitness Challenge between 14 February and 31 March.

To complete the challenge, Susan had to train at her local club 12 times over the six-week period.  Every member that completed the challenge was given a free guest pass, before also being entered into a grand prize draw to win a Mazda.

Esporta's chief executive, Neil Gillis, also presented a car to Chris Fitzakerley in Sunderland, the club's membership consultant.  Chris was awarded the MX-5 after encouraging nearly 300 members to take part in the Mazda Motion Fitness Challenge.  This meant that a higher percentage of members at Esporta Sunderland took part in the challenge than any other club in the UK.

Scott Wallace commented:
"Its important to us to keep our members motivated to keep fit, and the Fitness Challenge was an exciting and very popular way of doing this.  The Mazda MX-5s are quality prizes, and I'm sure Susan and Chris will both have fun enjoying the cars in the sun."
