A state of the art spinning concept, 'Revolution', is currently being rolled out by Esporta and will be piloted at the new club in Guildford, opening on 13 September. Revolution is the brainchild of Esporta's in-house health & fitness and marketing team.
Revolution offers an all encompassing cycling experience with plasma screens and surround sound to simulate a genuine outdoor trip. The motivating visuals take the form of extreme sports and can take the cyclist along a challenging mountain bike trail, with the scenery progressing as the cyclist powers through the class.
The blackened studio features spot lights to shine down on bikes, while the air handling system fans and cools to provide a realistic outdoor atmosphere. This makes the outdoor exercising experience a viable option for professionals with restricted leisure time or the fair weather cyclist.
The classes are set for a high level of fitness and are restricted to 30 minutes, providing an intense work out that can practically be fit into a lunch break. State of the art bikes with moveable handlebars challenge the participant further, and compliment the realistic outdoor atmosphere.
Commenting on the concept, Scott Wallace, Esporta's marketing director, says: "We wanted to add an extra dimension to the standard spinning class, creating a complete sensory cycling experience. Our new club in Guildford is the ideal place to launch Revolution, as a contemporary and stylish club equipped with the latest health and fitness technology."
