Search is on for tennis talent at Esporta
Esporta is calling all tennis fans to take part in its open weekends for tennis. Running on the 15-16th and 22-23rd July, tennis players of all ages are invited to come along to their local club for a weekend of tennis fun.
In conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association’s (LTA) Play Tennis initiative, Esporta wants people to come along and enjoy the excellent tennis faculties the club has to offer. The Saturdays of the open weekends will focus on the adult game, whereas the Sundays will be very much a day for identifying junior talent. Those deemed to be the most talented junior players will go through to the national finals where they could win the opportunity to join Esporta’s national Racquets Academy.
The Esporta Racquets Academy is a nationwide initiative dedicated to nurturing Britain's tennis stars of the future. Tim Henman is official patron of the Tennis First Charitable Trust which supports the 3,500-strong Academy.
Gary Stewart, head of the Esporta Racquets Academy, said: “We know there’s a huge pool of tennis talent out there as well as a lot of people who are interested in tennis but just never get round to playing. We want everyone to be playing tennis this summer and by opening up our clubs, the public will be able to experience first hand the excellent facilities they have right on their doorstep.”
